The CLA Coaching Center

Every CLA coach is backed by a complete coaching system.

When you engage Contemporary Leadership Advisors, you are not just hiring an individual coach. You are hiring the whole operation behind them: certified coaches, a shared complexity toolkit, AI-supported supervision, a cutting-edge coach directory and a live view of every engagement.

One hub, every engagement

Behind every coach is a bench, a library and a system.

Most executive coaching firms hand a leader to a coach and hope for the best. We built something different: a single professional hub where our coaches train, prepare, supervise and run every engagement — so the quality of your program does not depend on any one person's habits.

It is how we scale great coaching across an enterprise: a consistent experience for every leader we serve, from the first chemistry call to the final session.

What your program gains

Consistent quality

The same standards, preparation and supervision behind every coach on your roster.

Transparent progress

Success criteria, milestones and engagement tracking you can actually see.

Easy selection

Curated, client-ready coach bios sent to you for review — no scattered PDFs or email chains.

Certification

We certify every coach who works under our name.

Every CLA coach completes our own coach certification program — not a checkbox, but a rigorous curriculum built around how we actually coach.

We choose coaches for a track record of business results, deep business and organizational experience, top-flight education and coach training, and the highest standards of ethics and integrity. Many have served as C-suite executives or hold PhDs in the behavioral sciences.

Training

A structured curriculum

Eight modules covering the CLA coaching model, the engagement arc and the full toolkit — each closed with a scored assessment before the next one unlocks.

Evidence

A reviewed case reflection

Coaches complete a substantial written case reflection from real coaching work, reviewed by our senior team before certification is granted.

Verification

A credential you can check

Each certification carries a public verification page, so the credential is auditable — not just a line on a bio.

The Complexity Toolkit

Sixteen tools, six lenses, one shared language.

Every CLA coach is trained in the Complexity Toolkit: sixteen practical tools organized across six lenses of leadership complexity. It gives coaches and leaders a shared language for complexity, which our coaches combine with cognitive behavioral, solutions-focused, positive psychology, and mindfulness approaches to meet each leader where they are.

Systems

What's really going on beneath the surface?

Sense and Respond

What kind of situation is this, and how should I respond?

Stakeholders

Who matters, and where does influence really sit?

Capacity

Can we actually absorb this change?

Polarities

What tensions do we need to manage rather than solve?

Futures

What's coming that could change all of this?

Resources & community

A connected bench, not a loose network of freelancers.

Our global bench works from a shared hub — a curated library of coaching tools and resources, curated readings, and a steady stream of announcements and practice exchange across the bench.

The result for clients: when your leaders face a novel challenge, your coach can draw on the collective thinking of the entire CLA bench — not just their own experience.

Library

Tools & resources

A searchable, categorized library of coaching tools, frameworks and templates that coaches bring directly into their work.

Readings

Curated readings

A shared reading list that keeps the bench thinking from the same sources.

Peer exchange

A live community

Coaches share practice questions, wins and hard cases with each other, continuously.

Alignment

One voice

Announcements keep the whole bench aligned on how CLA shows up for clients.

Supervision

No coach works alone.

Every CLA engagement is supported by structured supervision: coaches review the engagement with the bench, and AI-supported tools help surface themes, sharpen questions and keep the coaching moving — while every conversation stays confidential to the engagement team.

Your leader gets one coach — and the judgment of the whole firm.

Structured supervision

Regular review of engagements with senior advisors and the coach bench.

AI-assisted insight

Modern AI tools help synthesize feedback themes and prepare coaching materials — under strict confidentiality.

Quality you can count on

Consistency across the roster, engagement after engagement.

The coach directory

A cutting-edge directory of client-ready coach profiles.

Our bench lives in a purpose-built directory — every coach with a standardized, professionally designed profile. When we assemble a shortlist for your organization, what you see is polished, current and comparable across coaches.

A standardized, client-ready biography for every coach — experience, education, specialties, industries, certifications and coaching style on one page.

Every coach has an approved, professionally designed bio — so what a client reads is consistent, current and polished.

A searchable, ranked directory our team uses to match the right coach to the right leader — by specialty, industry, seniority and geography.

What a profile includes

  • Experience and leadership background
  • Education and certifications
  • Specialties and industries
  • Coaching approach and style
  • Key highlights of their coaching work
  • Location and languages

Selection, made simple

We shortlist three coaches. Your leader chooses.

When it is time to match a coach to your leaders, we send a private link with the selected coaches' full bios — exactly the right candidates for your context, presented for easy comparison.

For every engagement we shortlist three coaches suited to the leader's context and encourage the leader to interview all three. Leaders who choose their own coach own the relationship from the start, and their engagements go further as a result.

Curated

The right shortlist

Our team hand-picks the coaches best suited to your leaders, your culture and the work ahead — with a personal note explaining the thinking.

Comparable

Full bios, side by side

Each coach appears in the same standardized format, so you can compare fairly — experience, specialties, coaching style and highlights.

Confidential

Built for chemistry interviews

The lists are designed for exactly what matters next: chemistry interviews between your leaders and the candidate coaches. Contact details stay with CLA until you choose.

The engagement tracker

Progress you can see, not a black box.

Every engagement runs through our live tracker. Goals, milestones and progress are visible to the engagement team — and shared with sponsors in a structured, appropriate way — so you always know how the work is going.

Agreed success criteria

What a successful engagement looks like, agreed with the sponsor up front.

Milestones along the arc

Match, understand, align, practice, sustain — each phase tracked deliberately.

Structured check-ins

Coach notes and engagement updates kept current in the tracker.

Supporter feedback

Every 45 days, colleagues anonymously rate progress on the leader's goals, so change is seen, not assumed.

Sponsor visibility

The right people see the right level of detail — never less, never more.

  1. Match

The sponsor scopes the need; the leader interviews three coaches and chooses one.

  2. Understand

The coach runs a diagnostic deep-dive into the leader's strengths and gaps in the context of their role.

  3. Align

Leader, sponsor, and coach agree on goals and success criteria at a kickoff alignment meeting.

  4. Practice

Regular one-to-one sessions and real-work practice, with Supporter feedback every 45 days and a midpoint alignment meeting.

  5. Sustain

A closing alignment meeting, a post-coaching development plan, and an assessment of outcomes.

Enterprise coaching

Coaching services that hold up across your enterprise.

Certified coaches, a shared toolkit, supervision, a polished directory and visible engagement progress — that is what it takes to run great coaching at scale. We would welcome the conversation.
